BrandAlley, Boden, UGG® and Footasylum Partner With Clearpay To Offer Customers Flexible Payments
LONDON, November 15, 2022 — Clearpay, the leader in Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL), has announced partnerships with premium fashion and lifestyles favourites BrandAlley, Boden and UGG® – allowing them to offer online customers more choice in payment methods so they can manage their budgets and spend responsibly ahead of the Christmas shopping season. Leading street and sportswear retailer Footasylum, is incorporating Clearpay’s omnichannel service to offer ‘pay-in-4’ to customers both online and in-store.
These top-tier brands join the Clearpay platform as shoppers continue to select the service in growing numbers. Clearpay’s recent Festive Forecast reveals that one in 10 Brits plan to use BNPL to manage their finances and budget during the Christmas season. The research also states how fashion – from clothing to footwear and accessories – will be the most popular gift to buy and to receive.
Clearpay retailers benefit from increased brand visibility, increased conversion rates and higher average order values because of the payment flexibility offered by Clearpay. Its recent bi-annual shopping event, Clearpay Day, took place at the end of October and saw growing consumer demand. There was a 6% increase in the number of customers referred to merchants via Clearpay’s Shop Directory, nearly half of which (43%) were to small business merchants. Other highlights include:
- 14% average uplift in merchant sales;
- 21% average increase in new customers making purchases using Clearpay
- 17% increase in daily average sales in the “department stores” vertical
- 91% of customers shopped via mobile devices
- 96% of transactions were made by debit card, indicating that shoppers took advantage of the deals on offer, while continuing to use Clearpay as a budgeting tool¹.
Rich Bayer, UK Country Manager at Clearpay, said: “While Clearpay is a payment provider, our existing merchants also increasingly value the marketing support that we offer. With initiatives like Clearpay Day, we give merchants opportunities to reach new customers and boost sales, while our customers benefit from savings with their favourite brands.”
Rob Feldmann, CEO at BrandAlley, said: “Our customers are savvy shoppers and smart with their money, so our partnership with Clearpay will appeal to those looking for a simple and safe BNPL payment option. Clearpay doesn’t charge interest and customers can choose to pay early too if they wish. These features are helpful for many, especially in the run up to Christmas. From a business perspective, Clearpay offers us access to a number of marketing initiatives like its Shop Directory and Clearpay Day, all of which help us to grow our customer base.”
Peter Callaghan, Trade and Marketing Director at Boden, said: “Offering choice and flexibility when it comes to payments is a big part of improving our overall customer experience and we’re delighted to be able to do this with Clearpay in the lead up to Christmas.”
